    Kiama Pelagic Trip Report Saturday 28th May 2022

    Here's what was seen outside the harbour on the SOSSA Kiama pelagic on the MV Kiama on Saturday 28 May 2022.

    We literally saw no seabirds until we reached the shelf, we stopped at 115 fathoms and then at 139
    fathoms where we saw a reasonable diversity of species although quite low numbers.

    Black-browed albatross 6 (2)
    Campbell albatross 5 (3)
    Shy albatross 2 (1)
    Wandering albatross 2 (2) both Gibsoni I think
    Buller's albatross 1 (1)
    Grey-faced petrel 1 (1)
    Solander's petrel 15 (5)
    Cape petrel 1 (1)
    Wilson's storm petrel 5 (2)
    Hutton's shearwater 1
    Hutton's/fluttering 2

    Mammals
    Inshore bottle nosed dolphins 6
    Humpback whale 8
