    Streaked Shearwater (Calonectris leucomelas)

It's been a bit quiet in here, so I thought I'd put a few of my older photos up.

This one is a Streaked Shearwater, taken on the February 2009 SOSSA trip off Wollongong NSW. It's been the only time where I have observed Streaked Shearwaters interested in the boat and this one did multiple passes.

I was thinking that I had a photo very similar to this one, but as it turns out, I was also on that trip! They are quite a magnificent shearwater, and very plentiful in Japanese waters!

I think we were standing side-by-side for this one, I've seen your photo and it's exactly the same

That was the trip where we had the dark-phased Long-tailed Jaeger.
