    tube Function

    Hi all,

Does anyone know of any published material on the function of tubenoses in the tubenoses?
I know they play a role in salt excretion and may be important for olfaction, but I can't find any discussion of their function.
The highly developed tubes of the Giant Petrels is particularly peculiar.

    Cheers,
    Rubel
