A friend of mine, Stefan Pfuetzke, took this series of an unfortunate Southern Royal Albatross being killed by a Hooker's Sea Lion.

I suppose it's not surprising. Hooker's Sea Lions are opportunistic feeders and are known to feed on penguins, so it's not too far a step to an albatross, especially for a juvenile Hookers.
I wonder how frequent it is though? Hooker's Sea Lions range all over Campbell Island, we came across one at least a kilometre from the water. In these travels, they would undoubtedly, come across nesting albatrosses. Would they attack albatrosses on land?
