    Comments
Conditions at sea were very good for birding. However the wind and the current made conditions a bit rock and roll and some passengers were unwell. The SOSSA Banding crew managed to catch and band a total of 16 birds for the day including Wedge-tailed, Flesh-footed Shearwaters and Grey-faced Petrels.

    Dark phase Kermadec Petrel

Highlights of the day included several Gould’s Petrels and a few Kermadec Petrels which came very close to the boat and were well seen by most on board. Many thanks, to all on board for supporting our research. Lindsay Smith.
