Wilson’s Storm-Petrel: 1
Wandering-type Albatross: 6 (1 male Gibson’s measured [DAVIC black 135]; 1 female Antipodean measured; 1 possible Tristan measured [measurements and plumage at least did not rule out Tristan]; another banded bird [unfortunately not caught] also showed Tristan-like features; two second-year birds not ID’d to species-level)
Black-browed Albatross: approx. 10 (including at least 1 adult)
Campbell Albatross: approx. 10 (including at least 4 adult birds)
Shy Albatross: approx. 5 (including at least 2 adult birds)
Shy-type Albatross: 1 (2nd year bird with grey head, moulting p8 and p?)
Indian Yellow-nosed Albatross: 1 (2nd year bird – late!)
Black Petrel: 2
Wedge-tailed Shearwater: many
Flesh-footed Shearwater: 6 (never more than two at a time – very low number)
Sooty Shearwater: 2
Short-tailed Shearwater: many (still strong southbound migration)
Fluttering Shearwater: 3 (all flying straight south)
Hutton’s Shearwater: 1
Grey-faced Petrel: many
Australasian Gannet: 1 (2nd year bird)
Pomarine Jaeger: 6
Arctic Jaeger: 3
Long-tailed Jaeger: 3
Common Tern: 12
Crested Tern: many
Kelp Gull: Nil !!
Silver Gull: many
Humpback Whale: 2 (mother & calf)
Short-beaked Common Dolphin: approx. 10
