    A ridge extending over SE Queensland initially brought moderate S-SE winds to the coast with increasing ocean swells. By Saturday morning wind had eased off considerably and during the day swung around to the west then NW by midday, barely reaching 10 knots. Light cloud for most of the day increasing on approaching the coast, visibility very good. Maximum air temp, 24* C, barometric pressure 1020 hPa.

    As a high moved east across southern Australiaa strengthening ridge of high pressure brought mainly clear conditions, and moderate S-SE winds to southern Queenslandwaters. A fine clear day, with just some light cloud appearing mid afternoon, visibility excellent. Wind, light from the SW in early morning, strengthening and from S-SE to 15+ knots as the morning progressed, with a lightening off in late afternoon. Air temp.

    A trough with a strengthening ridge extending from the south brought slightly unsettled conditions to south east Queensland with some cloud and at times light showers. Mostly light, high cloud with the sun poking through late morning, visibility reasonable early and improving as day progressed. Wind S-SW, light early on, reaching a maximum of around 10 knots. Maximum air temp. 22°C, barometric pressure 1016 hPa.

    Light seas early on equally light swell, gradually increasing to 1.5 metre swell out wide as wind increased. Sea surface temps. , 19.6° C at the Seaway, rising just slightly to 21.5° C and to 23.1° C at widest point.

    Weather Conditions: A near stationary high over the Tasman caused a ridge to form up the Queensland coast. Light SW winds inshore early, soon swinging around to SSE-SE and gradually increasing during the day to maximum velocity of about 20+ knots late afternoon. Generally fine but with light to moderate cloud cover for most of the day with some slow moving rain squalls out wide. Visibility very good, max. air temp. 25*C, barometric pressure, 1020 hPa.

    A high over the Tasman Sea formed a ridge along the
    Queensland coast bringing moderate to strong south-easterly winds into
    South-east Queensland waters. Generally a fine day with a few scattered
    squally showers inshore. Offshore, just some light cloud mainly clear
    conditions and excellent visibility. Wind, from the SW early, before
    leaving the Seaway then turning to SE, then more easterly later in the
    day. Wind speed varied from 10-17 knots. Maximum air temp. 28* C,
    barometric pressure 1020 hPa.
